Shalom: The Hebrew word for Peace and I way to say
hello and goodbye. The common western definition of
peace is — the absence of conflict or war — but in
Hebrew it means so much more. Peace is more holistic.
In the ancient Hebrew, shalom means “Wholeness,
completeness, soundness, health, safety and prosperity
with an implication of stability and permanence. In
many places in scripture we find that Shalom is
constantly longed for the sake of control of it its
established through Kingdoms. The reality is Shalom,
true peace, is not something we can attain it ourselves.
When our kingdoms fall apart we are reminded we
never truly had it. There is One who provides it for us
only when we are ready, the question is, are we?
