October is the month designated as the clergy appreciation month. We have chosen this Sabbath to acknowledge our pastors and express our appreciation for their ministry in our church. The Apostle Paul admonishes us that we honor those who lead us in the Lord’s work and give us spiritual guidance. We should show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. Paul further says that we should obey our leaders and submit to their authority because they watch in behalf of our souls and they know they shall give account. In this way they can do their ministry with joy and not with grief.
To our pastors, thank you for your spiritual guidance, your leadership, your sermons and your personal examples. Your faith and dedication have been a blessing to our congregation. Thank you for preaching the Word. You are there with us in celebrations and for us in times of grief. May you find contentment and joy as you continue your ministry at this church.
