Dear LLFC Family,
It is with a grateful heart and humble privilege to have served you these
past 19 years as a pastoral couple. Jo, who has been my constant support,
helped the church in Music, Fellowship, and Women’s Ministry. I served
in capacities as the need arose from Children’s and Youth Ministry to
Administration & Discipleship Ministry. I intended to retire after a total of
45 years in pastoral ministry next year in 2025. I missed this goal by one
year due to personal health reasons and a desire to spend more time with
our grandchildren.
My retirement is effective August 1, 2024. We will leave per mandated
Conference policy for a brief six months and will return after January 2025
to serve in whatever capacities our beloved LLFC needs.
Space here is not sufficient to mention the many people we want to thank
for their love and support. So, we wish to extend our personal invitation
to celebrate God’s goodness in our team ministry through the years
tonight at 7:00 pm. We hope to see you there!
For my last sermon as a current pastor, I chose to take the words of the
Apostle Paul who wrote in 2 Timothy 4:7-8, “I have fought the good fight, I
have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved
for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge,
will give me on that day but not only to me but to all who wait for His
appearing.”
Love, Pastor Dan & Jo Belonio
