What defines a sacred place? What defines a house of
worship? Is it the pews? Is it the shiny colorful windows with
images of the cross? Is it a pulpit? Is the fact that it has been
dedicated by imperfect people? The way we answer these
questions determines how we view God and the interaction
with us here on earth. If we see God as omnipresent, and is
with us wherever we go, wouldn’t it be wherever we step on
and go to is considered Holy Ground? If we believe God’s
presence goes beyond a temple or church, then could it be
that anywhere we encounter God is considered sacred?
I’m grateful for the omnipresence of God that allows us to
worship and encounter Him even in the most unexpected,
random, and most ridiculous of places.
