Imagine what it would have been like over two thousand years ago
when this epic birth took place. While the town of Jerusalem was
hustling and bustling, the Savior of the Universe was born in a little
stable. How must it have felt if you were Joseph, Mary, the
shepherds, or even the heavenly host of angels?
Yet over two thousand years later, that event transformed the
entire world throughout time. Today, over two billion people in over
160 countries celebrate the birth of Jesus. But what has not
changed is that while the celebration of his birth is the reason, the
focus is missed. The hustle and bustle remain, and the attention is
often distracted. So, in this Christmas season, where do we choose
to place our attention? Can you imagine if we, as a church, all chose
to turn our eyes upon Jesus? Just imagine.
