Dear Family,
What are we thankful for? I want to say thank you to the 60 plus volunteers who showed up to help with our Thanksgiving Food Drive. We served over a 180 families. With everyone’s help, the event became easy and joyful. Also as we enter this Thanksgiving season, may I encourage our families to attend our Thanksgiving Program/Breakfast this Thursday at 7 a.m. I truly believe the blessings will far outweigh the inconvenience of coming to service early.
I googled the top five things people are thankful for, and consistently, three were Family, Friendship, and Faith. I’m going to guess that those top three are likely to be included in your list. However, the order may differ. Our sermon is on John 3, “The Redeemer.” While the topic is familiar, the discussion may not be. If I died unexpectedly, would I have eternal life? Would my answer be definitely,
hopeful, unsure, or probably not? Why do I feel that way? My prayer is that when we leave church today, we will have a better understanding of where we stand.
Grateful, Pastor Manny
