Thanksgiving or Thanksneeding?
Thank you to everyone involved in making our Thanksgiving
program and breakfast a glory to God. I pray that you were
inspired and reminded how good God has been to us. I love
the Thanksgiving season. However, I find it ironic that the days
leading up to, and the days following, become more of a
Thanksneeding. Instead of being thankful for how God has
blessed, the world tries to alter our perspective into thinking
about how much we lack by marketing all these items that we
“need to have.”
When we read the story of the woman at the well in Samaria,
we see that Jesus helps her realize her true needs. I wonder
what that looks like for us? What are our true needs that
money cannot buy? Today, may we reflect on those that only
Jesus can provide.
Grateful, Pastor Manny
