Dear Family
As we reflect on the story of young Samuel listening to God's
voice (1 Samuel 3:1-10), we are reminded of the importance of
spiritual attentiveness and that we “Hear to Thrive”. Samuel
was in the Tabernacle, near the Ark of the Covenant, when
God called him by name. Though he did not recognize God's
voice at first, Eli helped him understand that it was the Lord
speaking.
This passage invites us to cultivate a posture of listening in
our own lives. Like Samuel, we may not always recognize
God's voice immediately, but with patience, discernment,
and spiritual mentorship, we can learn to say, "Speak, Lord,
for Your servant is listening."
May this sermon encourage us to create space for God's
voice in prayer, scripture, or moments of quiet reflection.
